8am-130pm
Air temp 65 warming to 86
water temp 86-88
winds out of the south 5-10 mph.
What an eventful day on the strop. We started out in Stock tank cove throwing swim jigs and C-rigged Krit Frys. My wife hooked up with 2 on the C-rig. They didn’t want the swim jig I was throwing. Around 9am we moved out into mid lake to chase some schoolies. It was on all morning through afternoon when we left at 1:30. They were biting Clear Spook Jr.’s,casting spoons, tiny flukes on scrounger heads. When one bait quit working I would pick up a different one and catch a few more.We put over 20 in the boat.
We get to the ramp I go to get the truck and trailer and my left rear brake is locked up. So we spent another hour trying to get it unstuck. Wound up having to take the tire off and loading the boat. Then with the water in the brakes and the weight of the boat we got it unstuck. Turned out to be the best schooling action I have seen all summer.
