I’ve been trying to make my Dad’s cornbread for the past 4 years or so. Just can’t get it right. All he uses is Martha white self rising white cornmeal, an egg and buttermilk. Best cornbread I’ve ever eat.
So I went in search for another recipe.
Found Lamb’s cornmeal at HEB.
Lamb’s Stone Ground Cornmeal - Real Time Farms
There’s a recipe on the bag. I left out the sugar. Put it in a cast iron skillet preheated in a 450* oven for 20 minutes. Came out great!
There’s also a pot of purple hull pink eye peas we got from a friend in Burnet with of course, BACON!!!!
