it was Definitely Dink Day at the nearby SC pond. caught 15 LMB, and not a one of them was much over 2 lbs! caught 3 on the first 3 casts, and the bite was on. got bit almost every cast for the first 30 min or so on DS WR pumpkin-seed worm. after i lost that rig on a submerged post, just tied an off-set shank hook directly to the braid, w. a bullet wt, and another WR worm, and they were still hitting it as i bounced it along the bottom in less than 5 ft of murky water. had my dogs Sam & Jas w. me, but even their romping in the shallow water and chasing the fish i released didn’t slow the bite. my girl Sam actually snagged one that took a little too long to swim away and proudly brought it back to me, then looked on in amazed disgust as i threw it back into the water. and the Sam Adams Oktoberfest while sitting on the patio swing after i got home wasn’t too bad either…………………overall, nothing big–except for the enjoyment:D
