So this past Friday, my Lee Pot crapped out again and in a very dangerous way: spewed molten lead all over everywhere and I could not shut it off due to the way the lead was melting in the pot.

After giving it some serious thought I have two options: quit selling Toadhouse Jigs or take it to the next level and get a small scale production mold made for the different head sizes and contract with a company (a USA manufacturer that casts jig heads for other jig manufacturers) to make them for me. I am just not really up to smelting and casting the heads. I would still finish out the heads here and assemble the jigs. If I go this route I would want to be able to make it worth my while and want to be able to sell between 50-150 jigs a week. If I outsource the casting of the heads I should be able to meet this level of production.
Questions:
1. For those of you who got in on my last release, did you like the jigs and would you buy more?
2. There are already a lot of jig manufacturers out there, do you think there is a place in the market for Toadhouse Jigs?
3. Would you still support Toadhouse Jigs as a local company if I was outsourcing part of the production process?
4. Do you think it is a realistic goal to be able to sell 50-150 jigs a week?
I appreciate your input.
