Most everyone around here knows the story about my beloved boat, ‘Merica, but in case you don’t, you can find the story, along with some pictures here.
Now that I have my motor sold, it’s time to try and get rid of the hull and trailer. I wasn’t planning on really trying to sell off the hull, but it actually sounds like there are quite a few people interested in it, so if you want the hull as well, make me an offer and I will consider it. It’s a 2005 Legend 21LE. Some brief info on the hull damage, the estimate given to me from the “fiberglass guy” that Tracker uses was a little under $15K worth of damage. Yes, it’s bad. There are pictures on my website at the link I gave above, but I will try to get better pics posted later today or tomorrow.
THE TRAILER: This is what I’m really trying to sell. The trailer is in good operating condition. Tires, wiring, frame, are all in great shape. The previous owner of the trailer must have lived down a gravel / dirt road or something though because there are several chips in the paint causing small spots of surface rust where it looks like small rocks had just been kicked up and hit it while driving. It is a dual axle, but there are no brakes. It is supposed to have brakes, but apparently the previous owner must have removed parts at some point that disabled the brakes (or at least that’s what I was told by some place I took it to when I had it looked at). The estimate they gave me to get brakes working again was over $1000, so I just said screw it and have gone without the brakes. The only thing on the trailer that may need some work would be replacing a running board or two in the near future. I haven’t had any problems with them yet, but it’s a possibility. The boards on the sides of the wheel wells were recently replaced with new boards and new carpet. I’m asking $1000 OBO for the trailer. Again, I will try to get pics posted later today or tomorrow.
